On the first Sunday of every month*, we meet for domino play behind La Casita (House of Puerto Rico cottage) at Balboa Park from noon to 4pm. Open to all! We will ask for a minimum $1.00 donation from each domino player with the proceeds going towards La Casita and the Domino Club.

* Except if it falls on a special holiday or event, e.g., Super Bowl Sunday. Game day will move to the following Sunday if determined by the Domino Club. Changes will be noted on this webpage.

Due to park regulations NO ALCOHOL will be permitted within our area. If you have a card table, bring it. This is a family event and we ask everyone to act responsibly.

House of Puerto Rico San Diego's
Annual Tomás Perry Domino Tournament

Soon after its formation, the HPRSD Domino Club determined that they should plan for a domino tournament. An appropriate annual date was decided to coincide with HPRSD's Annual Dia de San Juan Family Picnic, hence aiming to become an annual tournament. The 1st tournament was realized on Saturday, June 23, 2007 with future tournaments planned as part of the HPRSD Family Picnic in June each year.

The annual tournament is dedicated to Tomás Perry, who was a co-founder of La Casa de Puerto Rico when it commenced in 1972. Mr. Perry was a pillar to the PR community and supported the House of Puerto Rico's cultural programs until his passing in 2002. Mr. Perry, along with Jaime Diego Chavez, created the Culture Corner as part of our monthly meetings. His son, Gene Perry, continues his legacy in the organization.
